Registration for the 2018 Annual Conference
Lay Members and Retired Clergy should have received an email with a link to an online registration form for the 2018 Annual Conference.  Please complete this by April 2nd. 

Appointed Clergy were registered during their professional interviews last fall.  If you have any questions, please contact the Central District Office.

Central District Connectional Ministries Council Meeting - April 12th, 3-5 pm, at the Conference Center
The meeting will focus on final preparation for the Central District Conference.  Here's a link to the list of those on the Central DCMC.

Bishop Laurie's Report on the Commission on the Way Forward - April 15th, 2 pm,
at New Hope UMC in Des Moines

Bishop Laurie Haller and members of the Iowa Conference Delegation to the Special Session of General Conference will lead a special presentation and conversation about the Commission on the Way Forward proposals.  These proposals address the way(s) in which we might maintain church unity concerning human sexuality issues.

Central District Conference and Pre-Annual Conference Gathering - April 23rd, 6 pm
The Central District Conference and Pre-Annual Conference Gathering will be held at Valley UMC in West Des Moines.

Rescheduled Central District Boundary and Ethics Training
Registration for the April 18th date is full. There are still a few openings in the May 3rd workshop at New Hope (click on the link below to register).  If you were previously registered and paid at that time, please do NOT pay now.  Your registration fee will be transferred.  If you have not yet paid, your payment is due one week prior to the date of the workshop or we will cancel your reservation and open the seat back up for registration.

Another Set of Eyes - Due May 1st
PLEASE NOTE:  The "Another Set of Eyes" form was updated on 1/30/18.  If you downloaded the form prior to that date, please do so again.  You'll find new information on the "Wildly Important Goal".

All clergy appointed to the local church and their S/PPRCs are to complete this evaluation form and return it to the District Office by May 1st.  This includes those clergy who are retiring or moving this year.  The form  is located on the Central District "Downloads" page website.  You'll also find the updated S/PPRC Resource Guide there, for your convenience.
